summer is here!

"and the time is right for dancing in the street"........remember that song by the Mama's and the pPapa's?? i've been singing that the past few days and i'd love to share it with you on my "play list" today...except that i don't have a "Playlist" any longer due to the fact that, for some reason, unbeknownst to me, there seems to be ads for "Lowe's" embedded in between the songs? and i am NOT advertising for anyone here on my bloggy.......so Bye Bye "Playlist"......it was fun while it lasted and i will miss choosing my music..cuz, i do LOVE the tunage.....waaaaaa.

anyhoo........summer is here......and it is HOT......

and i need some color in my life....

some cool and still,

blues and greens please......

in my art......hope you like my newest painting hanging over the couch in my den......of a sweet ethereal horsey.......inspired by my sparkly waters photo, up there in my side bar.
in my decor........i am still in love with the fabric i chose for these curtains in my kitchen..,

in my napkins.......cloth and paper (yes, i use paper)

in my view out the back picture window.......

and over the back door.

in my art book filled with sweet Georgia's inspiration.

in my flip flops stored in old stacking milk crates.......when i was growing up, we called flip flops "thongs"......i don't hear that any more?

in my little terrarium....where the sweetest, tiniest fern has been growing for two years now...with little care from me... i have only watered it a hand full of times.

in my new/old vintage , softest blue, bedspread on the back of the couch, that i paid $1 for......

sometime soon, i will share my secret for getting the stains out of old fabrics.....if you could have seen this blankie before i treated it, well you would NOT have paid even the one dollar for it.

in this beautifully blued Haeger pottery , that i found at the Nashville flea yesterday, that sure thrills me.

in the blues of the Ball jars... still pleasing to the eye........even if i see them everywhere right now.

ah yes, and in the blues and greens of my paintings.......

i can get lost in those cool liquid hues.....and i do.

while i am dreaming of them,

getting to know them,

blending them,

mixing them,

and letting them flow...

like water.

happy summery blues to you my sweets.

Hi Erin, beautiful images and blues, and yes when I was little we called them "thongs" too, but not anymore! LOL.
I too have taken that playlist of my blog because of the ads, but have discovered another one without ads. Hop over and see what you think. :-)

"the goddess of turquoise" I love that...and it fits. All of your 'blues' are outstanding and calm and serene and I get lost in the beauty of it all.
Please send some summer here, we missed spring and could us a little warm up.
Love Haeger pottery...and 'thongs' is what we always called em. They were never that cute though!

Hi Erin, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new header and all your pretty shades of blue. Just gorgeous! You have introduced them to your gorgeous living space beautifully. And that painting of the horse is pure magic.

I can't use Playlist on this side of the world ... restrictions of some sort. So I use FlashWidgetz.com. That might work for you ... no ads.

Have a beautiful day. Tammy

Oh I love that song...
but I'm more into the David Bowie and Mick Jagger cover.

Your paintings are so serene and calming but not at all dull. Your paintings are full of life and dreams...yes, I feel life and dreams just by looking at them.

Such beautiful color and composition. I love it all. I'm having internet issues again, so I'm not online much. But, just so you know, I always come visiting you! Thanks again for the beauty!

First of all ... LOVE YOUR PAINTING (yes, I am screaming!) and I still cannot get over your curtains!

I wonder what other prints that company makes. I need something with red and light blue ... but I will never find anything as fabulous as those, I am quite sure of it.
But perhaps if you know the designer/maker I could see? I told you, can't get over them. I know I can't have the painting but maybe I could have kitchen curtains half as cute as yours. :)

Love all the blue I'm seeing around here. Your painting is such a beauty and that it has a horse in it makes me love it even more. I can't wait to find out your stain removing secrets :)
