my new dawn rose....

my favorite climbing rose, is blooming like the dickens right now, and is just as sweet as it can be....

i just LOVE these blush pink beauties, so much! cascading over my swing on the back deck and dropping petals from heaven, to form a soft carpet underfoot...their scent is divine....

life goes way too fast,

please take the time to,

playing along with

this week the theme is "vintage".

after taking tons of photos of my new dawn roses in vintage vases,

i settled on a more simple look, just using a vintage lace tablecloth.

sometimes, simpler is better.

and to simplify my own life a wee bit,

i will be taking a short bloggy break.

i'll see you soon.......i promise.......

Wonderful! Dad had a similar rose bush over the arch just by the kitchen door in Belfast. I keep meaning to go and look for a similar one...but maybe the memories are enough!

Erin, your roses along with your texture in the photographs are just beautiful, so peaceful and reminds me of my Grandparents beatuful rose gardens. As mentioned before, your photographs, gardening and art are some of the most beautiful I've seen. I just got started in Photoshop texures, so much fun, but need a lot more practice, I just love the soft textures you use. You are a real inpiration. Will miss seeing your posts, but you enjoy your break.

Thanks so much for the photo essay. I love "smelling" the roses. You did such great edits on these. The climber looks like a Cecile Brunner (Sweetheart) rose. I adore that rose.
