before winter is just a cold memory, i thought i'd share some snow scenes taken the end of january, when the first, very early, daffodils were blooming on old natchez trace. these little gems have all faded and we anxiously await for their cousins to appear..........

I love the layers and textures.. Do you use Photoshop? sorry.. can't help myself.. been thinking about getting it and been too stingy... haha
With all the beautiful snow I have been seeing from my northern friends.. I almost have a yearning for snow also.. winter will be here soon.. but it doesn't snow here.. just bleak and rainy ...
Well Iove these photos.. and especially the textures!!! gorgeous.. xx Julie
Looks like you had fun playing. The photos turned out beautifully. I hope you have Spring really, really soon! I love Spring Fever and don't ever have it here. Kind of miss it, sort of. ;-)
Love the photos - great job. I have not seen any daffodils around here yet this year - Well, except in the floral shops.

hi erin!! thanks for stopping by my blog and for the sweet welcome!
i did find some treasures at the flea market yesterday... i'll be blogging about them soon:)
your photos and paintings are amazing! i'm so happy to have discovered your blog!
:)
Ok Girl you just never stop astounding me. Your artful way of showing your world is so fantastic. It's cloudy here today but it's rather nice out...warm...well you know me I don't need to see the sun everyday. Pretty flowers do need rain.
I was playing around with photoshop last night and it's fun and frustrating all at the same time. You seem to be mastering the art of photo editing! Congrats!!!!
xo...Carole
Very impressive first trial run there! Looks like you've been a texture pro for years. :)
Loving your blog and all your inspirational photos!
Best Wishes!
wow just wonderful you are sooo talented!!!
Erin,
I am speechless.
If you knew me, that is akin to Pluto becoming a planet again.
SO SO lovely...

Hi Erin,
So glad you visited today and thanks so much for becoming a follower. I'll be sure to show you many more historic homes! :)
Oh and you better believe every time I take my dog for a walk I'm looking at people's houses AND if the curtains are open and the lights are shining, then I'm considering it an invite to peep in. My husband never understands, but I love to see how people decorate their homes. hehe
Nice to meet you too!! Looking forward to your next post. :)
Hmmmmm... I had this awesome comment for you and blogger seemed to eat it. ???
Ahem, let me try again. :)
Hi Erin!
It really was lovely of you to visit my blog and become a follower. I'll be sure to include many more homes for your viewing pleasure. :)
PS I'll be the first to admit: I'm a peeper too. hehehehe If the curtains are open and the lights are lit, I'm peepin in to get my fix. The hubby and dog don't understand, but I LOVE to see how people decorate their homes.
Thanks again for stopping by!
*hugs*

Hi Erin!
For some reason, every time I tried to post a comment last night blogger wouldn't let me... so hopefully this morning it works!
I really just wanted to say thanks for visiting my blog and becoming a follower! I'll be sure to include many vintage home loveliness for us to dream about. :)
hehehehe I'll be the first to admit.. I'm a peeper. My husband and dog don't understand when we go out for walks just why I like to try and see inside homes. I say if the curtains are open and the lights are on then why not? :) I don't care to see the people, I want to see the furniture, the paint choice, how they arranged it. :)
Hope you're having a lovely day and thanks again for visiting.
*hugs*

D r e a m y ... Love daffodils.
When I was a child my family and our friends (another family) traveled to a place called "Daffodil Hill" in Northern California. I remember being about 7 and when we arrived ... there were no daffodils! We were too late. We went to a restaurant that afternoon and told the waitress about our great disappointment and when she brought our vanilla ice creams at the end of the meal ... she had decorated them with daffodils.
Have a beautiful day Erin!
It's like a vintage wash, really lovely Erin.
xoxo
