sweet lil lambs

so cute, right?

My friend Alice spotted these new born lambies on a nearby farm....right after being born 3 weeks ago....she of course pulled right over to see them closer....my kind of adventurous gal....

she also heard they would be moved to another farm very soon (where the grazing would be better)...
so on a very dark, cold, drizzly, muddy and poopy day.... yes, lots of poop.
we traipsed through the fields on this minny farm
and i photographed these sweeties.

enjoy!

(i dare you not to smile whilst viewing)

 are you smiling?

Farmer Franc and his friend Joaquin  (both from South Africa and with the most interesting accents)
welcomed us to the mini farm and we are invited back at any time, to any of their farms!  yay.

hopefully it will start warming and greening up around here...
and for sure i will be seeking out these lil babes for more pics.
i can just picture them in a green field with spring daffodils blooming and sunlight streaming from behind...
can you picture it?

this has been a long winter...
i crave being outdoors more.
spring will be here before we know it.

p.s.  do you take yourself on field trips?
yunno, outings to get you away from the house and the job and the computer...
a field trip to refresh your soul and inspire your heart....
like visiting a farm on a cold day, or taking a drive through the country side...or how about heading into the city?
a field trip to take you away from your regular old life...
a field trip to connect you with others...
a field trip to connect you with yourself....
remember
 you?

take yourself on a field trip...

p.p.s. it turns out that photoshop is an amazing tool for removing poop from a photo...

Thanks for sharing your field trip!
I don't have photoshop, but have a "retouch" feature that comes in handy, but have to admit I have not had to remove poop from a pic - yet. :-D
I am past due for a nice field trip - have had enough Winter.

I'd follow lambs through ankle high poop to catch these little ones! Yes...photoshop is a great tool for removing unwanted poop!! I love going on field trips..just went to a little Japanese Garden on Sunday and posted about it. And yes...I'm smiling! Have a great week Erin.
