sand in my suitcase...

hello friends!

i am back from the beach........

where i was totally and happily disconnected from....

computer

phone

job

news

newspaper.

and totally and happily connected to....

waves

family

seafood

drink

laughter...

waves

sky

sun

birds

clouds...

waves

dolphins

jellyfish

jetskiis

dragonflies...

waves
white sand
flip flops
tiny shells
long walks...

waves
music
wind whistling
laughing
and
more waves.

love them waves!
and my connection to them.
all photos taken by me, whilst sitting in the waves and trying hard not to get my camera wet.

i miss it already.
it will take me a while, to get back in the swing of things here in tennessee.
where the leaves have changed colors and started to fall, as if overnight.
it is difficult to wrap my brain around that,
just yet.....

No doubt you had a fabulous time and looks like you had great weather. Always takes a while to settle back in at home when you've had a relaxing time away. Here's another type of wave for you ... me waving from way over here saying Hello and have a bright and beautiful day. :) Tammy

The sea affects me like nothing else. So glad you had a wonderful time. Your white pumpkin banner is just beautiful. Now I wish I had bought the white pumpkins rather than the terra cotta orange. I really wanted grey but they were out. :(

Oh Erin, your photos are lovely, and I felt like I was right there in the water. I know how much you love the ocean...I do too, but your autumn weather and colors must be stunning and I can't wait to see photos of that too. Living in the desert southwest...no ocean or fall colors (can you tell I dream of moving?) Happy weekend to you.

Oh Erin....I soooo feel your heartache, my dear. Truly and deeply. You're feeling now the exact same way I feel when I return from my Florida vacation in the spring. You don't want to embrace reality. You don't want to not hear the ocean waves. You don't want to run barefoot through the falling leaves - you want the sand between your toes! *sigh*.....yup. I'm feeling it with ya, sweetie. :)

Welcome back dear Erin
What beautiful photos! Sounds like you had a great time.. Something about the ocean, it always leaves you with such a calm heart.. I love the quiet sounds, sand between my toes and just to sit and watch the waves roll in and out.
Wishing you a relaxing day
Penny

These are such beautiful and peaceful photos. I love waves, the sound of them, the way they constantly change and move. I am so glad that you had time to disconnect from it all, we need that every now and then.
Have a wonderful week.
