my heart is heavy.i am afraid and feel helpless.
our neighbor phoned this morning to inform us that
ellie is missing.
although, not technically our dog.
we love her as if she is part of our family.
this loyal sweet lab never treads further than our property away.she was healthy and happy yesterday when she stopped by for her daily cookies
and an ear rub.
something is terribly wrong.signs have been hung.
calls made.
she is missing.
she is missed.
we are looking for you sweet ellie.
keeping the light on for you.come home to us.

Erin,this is just heartbreaking, especially over Christmas, but you know this is the season for "miracles"...never give up hope. I have three fur-babies myself,and I know how they must feel. I am so sorry. Please know that you have prayer coming from Florida that this sweet dog is found soon. God Bless....

So sorry to read this. :( It really hurts when a pet disappears like that - have had it to happen. Sure hope and pray she returns.
Love your photos. I did not realize you got that much snow up there. Got up to a dusting Sat. morning and I could go the rest of Winter without any more.

Oh my God, this is so awful. I cannot imagine losing one of my dogs. I pray that she returns right away.

Poor sweet Ellie. I am such an animal person, this really breaks my heart. I had this happen to a dog of mine years ago, and have never stopped wondering. I hope she is found soon. Praying to St. Frances for her safe return.
