aqua inspiration

INSPIRATION, for me, comes in many different forms...nature, color and light, the sea, the sky, the forrest, a memory, a song, a smell, other inspired people...and this blogging world, well it certainly has some inspired folks!! one of my first followers when i started on this blog journey, was julie at http://beingruby.blogspot.com/ she has a BEAUTIFUL and INSPIRING blog that never fails to amaze me! julie's photoart, love of the sea and moon, and her way with words, and sense of humor (oh yea...she is FUNNY) keeps me, and many other fans coming back for more and more. she is a constant source of inspiration to me personally and her loyalty is unmatched. if you have never had the pleasure of visiting her blog you must run, don't walk to her blog now! you will be INSPIRED! julie and i have been chatting lately about our aqua love... remember the kitchen curtains i sewed recently?

well, that beautiful aqua blue in the fabric, inspired me to find MORE aqua items for the kitchen.

i found these Ball jars at the flea market last weekend...

which inspired me to buy fresh tulips...

rosemary too.

which inspired me to add even more aqua blues...

gratuitous daisy shot...

big kitten had to get in the shot too. don't worry they are just playing. they are best friends now and always appear when the camera comes out.

those aqua ball jars...

inspired my latest painting...

the month of march is one of my favorites.
with the promise of spring, the awakening of the senses, birds flitting around, fresh color budding out, sweet soil to dig in, the greening of the grass AND my birthday,
i have a lot to look forward to.
including
lots of
INSPIRATION.........
especially from you amazing bloggers out there. thank you so much for your constant stream of fun things to gaze at and read about. i had no earthly idea when i started this addiction (i mean blog) how it would effect me on so many levels.
and thank you too,
to my followers and commenters. i am ALWAYS pleasantly surprised and just tickled pink at your lovely words of encouragement...
which is an
inspiration
INDEEDY!

MY GOSH, ERIN! I love the painting!!!! Do you sell your paintings, young lady? The sun coming through your new Amy Butler curtains is so beautiful. You are seriously gifted. So, how many times can I say that before it gets too repetitive?

Love the painting !! You did good. :) Look at those sweet furbabies. I had some of the old ball jars like that - daughter has them now. Ran across a couple in the back of a cabinet recently, but they are reproductions.
Enjoy your weekend. Suppose to be in the mid 60's here and sunshine Sat. & Sun.. :-D

Hi Erin
Well I don't know what to say.. you are such a sweetheart and I'm honoured to think that someone with all your talent thinks so highly of my [don't know what to call them] .. creations..

As usual I'm in colour heaven when I come here.. the first photo is glorious.. your painting of the Ball Jars remarkable.. your use of light is what always impresses me so!! Such a light hand! So clever.. Really I could rave on about every single shot.. but the 2 favourites today is the nest in front of your painting [reality vs ethereal] and the kitty cats.. how funny... eating the others paw...!!!

Ok.. off for now.. thank you once again for your kindness and friendship .. it means the world to me.. xxx Julie

This post is so wonderful and full of everything I love not only aqua but of you and Julie. So glad we've stayed friends after meeting each other months ago with B&W Wednesday. It's people like you and Julie that make blogging real and the words just come off the page and fill the air with beauty.
Aqua has become one of my favorite colors in the last year. The way you've shown it here is breathtaking.
Your new creation is wonderful and makes you feel you could reach out and touch those jars.
Thanks also for the latest pics of new little Daisy! she's a beauty and I see they are getting along well!
sigh.....could I just stay here all the time!!!lol

You are such an artist. You inspire me, seriously! That first photo of the flower has such a sense of anticipation as I want to have it open up so I can peer into the center. Then that one leads to all the others. Thank you so much for making it such a wonderful visit!!!

Erin,

I love the post and I know I should be commenting on all the aqua and all the beauty BUT, BUT, I was stopped dead in my tracks as I scrolled down reading and my right eye slipped over to the right and I saw the pumpkin painting! OK it's really a blue hubbard squash maybe? but they're relatives....Was it there all along and I missed it? Oh, oh, I am a pumpkin nutball, I am, I admit it, and although this has nothing to do with this post which is indeed wonderful, I just had to tell you..(she says finally taking a breath)....I love the painting.
