ellen's christmas home

last week, i had the pleasure of having lunch at a gorgeous home, owned by a gorgeous designer and antique dealer...my friend ellen.

i know christmas is over, but those of you who appreciate fine design and vintage items would love this place for sure and i have, have to share it with you!

after sipping on mimosa's...french onion soup and a wonderful salad with bourbon soaked apples and walnuts was served for lunch in this SPECTACULAR dining room.

ellen has exquisite tastes and her attention to detail is out of this world!

every where i looked was a feast for the eyes...

her talent for creating artful vignettes,
collecting the coolest finds,
cooking,
and making you feel comfy cozy,
is real.

to keep things fresh and to quench her unending devotion to surrounding her family and friends with beauty, she changes her christmas theme every year.

this was the year of the DEER.

small and large figurines of deer and the use of antlers in all her floral displays, including the outside decorations...

which i neglected to photograph.

dang! cause you would love to see them for sure!

the main tree is trimmed in vintage beauties...

scrumptious collections everywhere...

i so love the screened in porch!

and so do the doggies!

daughter Hallie's room is divine!

her pink Eastlake furniture complements the dark chocolate walls and her equestrian love.

there is NO denying the beauty in this home...

but the use of stacked antique books is what was really inspiring me this day...

nice, huh?!
thank you!
ellen!

Wow! Your table was gorgeous!!!! It must have been so enchanting sitting there on Christmas! Love the tinsel tree too ... magical and reminds me of my childhood. I may need to break it out next year.

Happy Holidays and many blessings!

Erin,
Saying it's an amazing house is an understatement. I love her collections and you know that's really what turns me on. i have the same love of little houses, glass glitter and bottle brush trees. The brown and pink room for her daughter is the perfect combination of colors...it's sweet but sophisticated. Love it all! Thank you for showing us.

Is it possible to squeal and drool at the same time? Oh My Gosh, this home and furnishings are just AMAZING. But that pink Eastlake furniture is OVER the top gorgeous. I just love Eastlake and have a few pieces, but I would never have thought about the "feminine" paint palatte. Oh and the screened in porch with the fireplace. Aaaaahhhh. Just love it!
Thanks for the tour!
