These are stunning, Erin! You have such a great eye. My favorite is the fifth one. Can't wait to see the paintings you are working on! (hint hint) xo – g
Beautiful pictures! My eye fell on shadows recently too, in and outside. But we don't have so many, nor such beautifully big trees around and no snow either. Love the qoute from that great photopgrapher you added at the end. Bye, Marian
WOW. This message is for me. Perhaps this is a time of silence for me...and again dearest one, that photo of YOURS that you send...stunning. I will be using it, and I thank you ever so much. You are so gifted!!! Those shadows are sometimes all we have to show, isn't it???
Erin, your post is a great reminder to look at life from a different perspective once in awhile....shadows, negative space, beauty in a reflection or rain puddle.... there IS beauty everywhere! Thank you!
I cannot even think of the appropriate words to describe these photographs...they are beyond perfect. Peaceful, and beautiful. How can looking at cold snow, no leafs on trees, be so warm and cozy...Fabulous as always!!!
Erin ~ your photos totally look like something Ansel Adams would haven shot, do you know that? Just awesome, girlie. Just awesome. And the words match the photos perfectly.
Did I tell you I really liked the pictures of your people dressed in period costumes?
ReplyDeleteYou actually make snow look cosy..what an oxymoron eh?
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard John Prine since I was 18yrs old! My high school boyfriend took me to see him...wow this brings back memories!!!

I love these shots. So simple, and beautiful. Your blog as a whole is lovely! Veronica
ReplyDeleteI could see any of these on a huge canvas hanging on a large wall space....just wonderful!

Your world glows. Thank you for sharing this glorious place.
ReplyDeleteWho says black and white is boring?! Gorgeous. Love the quote.
ReplyDeleteI'd never read that quote from Ansel Adams. He and you are so right....the photos say it all.
ReplyDeleteWe had snow last night and it's "pretty" all over again.
I love your trees! I think that's what I love the most about Winter are the silouettes the trees and branches leave. I never tire of looking at them.
