i gathered dogwood and forsythia branches from the garden, for forcing.
of course, little miss daisy had to join in on the fun.
hopefully, in a few weeks, the bud-laden branches will open and spring like blossoms will fill the room.

Ah forsythia, Dad's favorite. Gone 11 years yesterday. How I wish I had branches to force to see him more clearly . I tried three years to grow it here....but finally gave up.
ReplyDeleteSleeping kitty picture could not be ANY sweeter....

Dogwoods were some of my favorite memories about living in Nashville. I'll never forget seeing them bloom before and underneath the bigger trees in the Spring. Those and redbuds! My favorite. Miss Daisy looks like such a good helper.

ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your photos Erin, and the photos of your kitty are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI just love forsythia. Unfortunately, it doesn't grow here in Florida! Occasionally I find it here at the garden center, so I'll be watching for some! Awesome pictures...hope the branches bloom, but I agree that they look good bare!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susie

I knew I would love this post with that first image of Daisy. What an adorable face she has. I'm sure she's a handful though...she has a little devil in her eyes.

I remember back in October being gobsmacked right in my tracks and the photos of the little maple leaves attatched to the curtain...I lost you and now have found you again. I am so glad your work is magical.
ReplyDeleteAnd this first song is from my favorite movie Serendipity.
I am so glad Anita recommended your world! Gorgeous calm. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures never fail to make me smile and relax. Forsythia remind me so much of my mother. She so loved the fact that they bloomed first in her backyard in Toronto. We don't have them here in FL. And the kitty, enough said from a total animal lover. But most of all your photos just give joy and positive energy. Thanks Erin. Ann
ReplyDeleteMy first time here as Anita told us to come and visit! I love all of your photographs. So sweet! I love gardening as well. I have some seedlings on the table next to me, canterbury bells.
