at the last minute, monday eve...we were given tickets to see, none other than ...
sir paul mccartney!!
best concert of my life.
three hours, 36 songs of pure magic.
famous, timeless, classic rock and roll.
hubby and i both shed happy and nostalgic tears this night.
he is the real deal.
he did not miss a beat or a note. never even took a drink of water.
i have been in love with paul since i was able to recognize those feelings...
i am still crushing over him!
check this off of my bucket list.
oh and...at the end of the night, he brought a young lady up on stage from the audience who had his guitar tattooed on her back...
and he autographed her back!!!!
how HOT is that?
i hope she went straight to the tattoo parlor to have it put there permanently!
Fabulous - lucky YOU, Erin!!! I'm so glad you got to go! :)

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time! Glad you enjoyed the concert. Can you believe - I was not really into the Beatles - should I duck and run. :-D
ReplyDeleteTeam Paul or Team John?
ReplyDeleteTeam Edward or Team Jacob....does anything really change?
I was absolutely Team Paul! I can vividly remember the night they were on Ed Sullivan. I wanted to jump and scream but my Dad told me if I did any of those shenanigans those other girls were doing he would shut off the tv...
I saved every bit of allowance for each 45 released at Murphys Five and Dime. ..sigh...
I'm thrilled for you Erin, what a special memory. Now what was your favorite song?

How fab to have one of your dreams come true!!.. You know it is funny as just the other day I was remembering all the concerts I have seen.. not really that many.. but the one that stands out for me was Sir Elton John... 6 rows from front... fantastic!!! oh and another good one was George Benson!! wow I was 18... even the guys were mesmerized.. some artists just 'have it'....
Happy Happy for you!!... thanks for your lovely comment.. re the water hammer.. would you believe have it here too.. although doesn't affect me so much in a villa as only hear my own noise.. and I'm usually awake when I turn the taps on.. hahahaha... ok delirious from lack of sleep..
Take care and thanks so much for always popping over to brighten my day!!.. xxxx Julie
Precious treat, Erin. EnJOY JOY JOY !! xx

Hi Erin, I'm still in love with The Beatles! My favorite was George! Sir Paul came once in Brazil (1990)and I was there, of course. It was a fantastic show and I twisted and shout all the time. I love him and his music. I'm glad you got to go! Lucky you.
