my decor is mostly a neutral palette relying heavily on textures and natural elements.......
but at Christmas time, i love to add touches of red here and there.
an homage to Rudolph's nose...
you can't have too many throws for cuddling.
an old chenille bedspread made into a pillow.
red outside shows well from the street.
the cute little red folding chairs on my porch were bought at a neighbors sale for....
$3 a piece!!
vintage hat boxes found recently at a tag sale for $12 add a nostalgic touch.
i love this southern sentiment on top of one of the hat boxes.
fresh flowers are ALWAYS nice.

nandina berries from my garden.
inexpensive IKEA towels in the bath.
my daughter's sweet baby shoes hanging on one of the trees.
just a spattering of red to warm up the holidays.
and speaking of warming up, i am heading for Arizona for a long weekend with no computer...
i will miss you!!

Hi Erin~
Thank you so much for coming by my Blog and visiting. I think the snow issue is ok now. I changed Browsers and was able to make a comment on yours during my last visit. It must have something to do with my old Browser!
These photos are awesome and I love all the little pops of red. Just lovely!
Enjoy your trip!

During the holidays is about the only time you will see very much red in my home. I really like the candles wrapped in the bark.
Drop by - I am having a giveaway.
Looks so great as usual. You can tell I love red. I love the pipe cleaner candy cane, the hat boxes and the Ikea towels! Have fun in Arizona.

I really like your touches of red! You have some great accessories!! Enjoy Arizona...
The way you've added the touch of red is perfect and your photos are heavenly. I love the hat boxes and I'm completely jealous that you have nandina berries. We can't grow them here.
I almost forgot I have a customer that I turned on to blogs and she mentioned she loved the crystals that you used on your frames. She wanted to comment but didn't know how. You inspired her to try it.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Carole

Hi Erin
Well of course it is all beautiful as I would expect it to be in Chez Erin!!
The photo of the chenille pillow is just beautiful with the lights twinkling in the background.. [I'm imagining the twinkling part.. but they are glowing warmly]. Love the Ikea towels too... simple and charming...
Have a happy and restful weekend in Arizona.. xxx Julie
PS still loving the Moo Cows!!
Beautiful pictures! Your tree branch idea is fantabulously fantastic! Sounds just like what I would do, hang it and then put in the lights. Why make anything easy, huh!
