we woke up to our first real snowfall in two winters.... |
right in our own backyard... |
my house is at the bottom of one of the best sledding hills around... |
walk right out to the golf course behind my house and this is what we see... |
the snow barely covered the grass....but us southerners dig a rare play day like this! |
our white carpet melted by noon... but sure was fun while it lasted. ♥ erin ~i hope you are enjoying your winter~ |
Fantastic!! You all became the most beautiful day of the winter season!
ReplyDeleteDear greetings, Helena
Pretty to see, but don't want any here. We only had light rain here - Thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening.
It looks like fun but cold.

Since this year was the first year we had snow, really snow I mean, not melting as soon as it hits the ground, no, it lasted and there was a lot, well, since this, I now have discovered I LOVE snow and everything snowcovered and I wouldn't mind snow for a whole winter long. It's gone here now as well and there's rain and greyness again but at least we had that lovely fourteen day period of enlightening snow.
ReplyDeleteLove your header by the way.
Marian
Hey! That looks like fun! I'm coming over next time! Lol
ReplyDeleteYou captured pure snow joy!
ReplyDelete*Yesterday I peeked at the outdoor thermometer and it was a warm 40..above zero! So I bundled up and went for a long walk, thinking how cold it felt. When I got home I looked again and it was only 0! The sun was shining on the thermometer when I checked earlier. Oh, well, I got out in the VERY fresh air. :)
Happy Winter!
Wow, what fun in your own backyard! Great photos.

Wasn't it just the best!! I love your house. We have some great sledding hills behind our house too. NEVER had them when I lived in snowbound Colorado. Are you ever to old to go sledding, I don't think so.
ReplyDeletePS thank you for the really nice words you left at "TEA", and DITTO!
you have such a great view & sledding hill!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos Erin ♥
Snow makes everything soooo pretty. How fun for you to live next to a beautiful open golf course, and see everyone having such a blast in the snow. I would love that...

Oh Erin, your home is like a postcard.. I love it! What fun everyone is having in the snow... Beautiful photos. It looks just wonderful, as it was 80 degrees at home today. I would love to see some white magic.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you.
blessings,
Penny
Really great, happy, cheerful, snow filled post. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun snow pics. My daughter had snow at her college in North Ga. She was very happy too.
ReplyDeleteDear Erin - I love your kind of snow day. Here in Ohio it lasts a great bit longer. Wonderful pictures. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteHas it really been two years since your last snow? I remember your beautiful pictures from that day. Didn't you have a bonfire in the back yard and served something to the sledders? It looks very beautiful, Erin.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to drive up to the local mountains, though I'm afraid they haven't gotten much snow this year. So, my only snow experience will have been a very brief one in Italy. (Not bad tho! ;)
Slip sliding away!
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pics! We had a little snow a few weeks ago. It is so pretty. I can't imagine beng along the East Coast this weekend with all the snow they are having!

Donna
