i grabbed my camera to capture the golden glow of this
trumpet vine blooming on my back deck....
the sun had just gone down for the day....
but the rays still hit the clouds right above my house.
you know, that fleeting time, in the early evening
when there is a tint of yellow
or is it pink?

The angel trumpet is pretty enough to almost appear not to be real. I bought one at a neighborhood sale for three dollars this year. It is small but I have large hopes for it. Thanks so much for your comment yesterday. xoxo, Olive

Ahhh... the Angel Trumpet, another painting waiting to happen. I love the way you talk about the light, it's so true, how it moves and changes, and is so amazing... you capture it with your magical touch, as usual...

ReplyDeleteHi Erin,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words about my windows.. It was so sweet of you to visit.
When I finished painting the kitchen cabinets and doing the decorative work I thought it would be nice to also do the window.
So happy you liked it. So happy I am done!
