Erin, these are marvelous images! Being in the Northwest, I adore all glass art, especially Chihuly. What a wonderful exhibit! You're photos are incredible. Thank you so much for sharing. xo
oh my god, I was going to turn off my computer when I saw you have posted again... it´s 4 in the morning now and I just couldn´t wait to see your post... I like his work, but really your photography does a very great art!!!!! good night maria cecilia
We have a giant commissioned chandelier from him at the Columbia Museum of Art, I'll get a picture and put it on my blog . Scary to walk under , considering it would kill 100 people if it fell on them below ! Oh, he had an exhibit at the museum a year ago too. thanks, Gina P.S. I will warn you , like you didn't already know, that my picture will not be great like yours are.
Most of your Chihuly photos enhance his works --they seem even more lush and sensual than the glass pieces looked in real life. Dale should hire you to photograph all his works.
Love the ombre/fall photos -- as always -- you transform ordinary objects and scenes into something extraordinary.
Hey Erin How incredible .. I've never seen anything like it before.. truly amazing.. must have been wonderful to be there.. thanks for sharing your fabulous photos with us... and have a great week.. xxx Julie
Our Botanical Gardens had a Chihuly exhibit in 2010 and it was magnificent... they purchased a few pieces to put on permanent display... he is an Artistic Genius with Glass!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us! Loving the cooler temps.

Erin, that is incredible. I really really enjoyed seeing that. Thank you for the wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteNice! As I understand it, Seattle and Chihuly are trying to build a Chihuly museum under the Space Needle and the "Saffron Tower" will go in there.
