seaside, florida

this is seaside...

a beach side community in the panhandle of florida (near to where we vacationed).

you may remember this community from the movie The Truman Show, starring Jim Carey.

i love, LOVE to visit here and can't get enough of the cheerful, sunny beach houses , picket fences and quaint little art galleries and shops.

grab a mimosa, put on your most comfy flip flops and enjoy the tour...

aahhhh...

paradise.

belle luce

this is belle luce

(beautiful light)

in franklin tennessee.

an extraordinary private estate located on 30 acres atop one of the highest elevations in williamson county.

i believe it is only 17 million to purchase...

i'll take two, please...

recently this beautiful home has been open for viewing (for charity) and used to present a very rare collection of bronze sculptures by

Auguste Rodin.

i had the privilege of touring this fantastic home and i fell in love with the use of curves and arches...

here are a few.

besides the Rodin pieces for sale, this estate also featured artwork by other current artists. what a great marketing idea to use this home as an art gallery and use the admission for charity.

and a fantastic opportunity for the general public to view this masterpiece of a home.

my girlfriend told me that after we toured the estate,

she had to go home and take a nap...

exhausted from all the beauty!

the sun is shining today in tennessee! after two weeks of rain (second wettest september on record) this is surely a welcome sight, and i am going outside to play!

happy fall y'all!

yippee!! today is the first day of autumn!!

after spending a glorious week at the beach and coming home to a drenched tennessee (been raining all week here and more to come!)

just to find a flooded crawlspace cause the darn sump pump wasn't working, ugh,

yes, the vacation is officially over....

but i love the change i feel in the air. slightly cooler temps, shorter days and fall flowers blooming.......even some fallen leaves from the old hackberry trees.

what a difference a week makes! and i love change. embrace it really. i can't imagine living in a place where the seasons don't change?

so i decorated with a few autumnal goodies to put me in the mood and warm up my otherwise neutral palette of decor. i'll add more as it continues to cool off and halloween nears...........

and to really snap me out of the after vacation blues, my dear, dear friend sent me a package tied up with strings, filled with a few of my favorite things ( sorry, i couldn't help myself)

a beautifully wrapped gift FILLED with LOVE!

thank you so, so much!

you know me so well. our friendship is the greatest gift of all.

kisses and a big smooch darlin!

happy fall y'all!!

i'm back...and in love.

got home last night and quite frankly, i'm suffering from extreme

beach brain!

i am once again blown away by the beauty of mother nature...

i can hardly speak.

images so strong and powerful, my words don't come easily.

and i ask you

how can we look at these images and not want to protect and take care of this

wonderful fragile earth?

i have come home with many, many photos

and so much inspiration.

the sea and sky cannot be ignored.

and

i am loving

my new camera!!

yes, indeedy!
